Vatican: Pope Francis appoints bishops of Palencia, Santander and Guadalajara, Spain

The Vatican Press Office reports this Tuesday, October 31, the eve of the Solemnity of All Saints, that Pope Francis has named the new bishops of the dioceses of Palencia, Santander; and Sigüenza Guadalajara in Spain.

He Elected bishop of Palencia is Father Mikel Garciandía Goñiuntil now episcopal vicar of Mendialde in the diocese of Pamplona and Tudela.

The new Prelate succeeds Bishop Manuel Herrero Fernández, who will continue to lead the diocese as apostolic administrator until the new bishop takes office.
