Mumbai: Shane Warne and Sachin Tendulkar are close friends on the cricket field despite their enemies. Vaughn himself has said this many times. Vaughan had said that he was going to Tendulkar’s house when he arrived in India. When it comes to the India-Australia (IND vs AUS) fight, it is often propagated as a fight between me and Tendulkar. But now Tendulkar is reminiscent of Vaughan.
Tendulkar shares an interesting incident when Vaughan came home. Tendulkar explains … ” The incident took place in 1998 during the Indian tour of Australia. That day I asked Vaughn if he liked Indian food. He replied yes. But I also told him to come home one day. He accepted my invitation and came home.
He has been looking after the manager since I served the food he made. Vaughn felt something was amiss. The manager then approached me and told me that Vaughn would not eat. I was busy serving food now. That’s when I realized that Vaughn doesn’t like food so spicy.
Vaughn informed me through the manager that he did not want to hurt me. Then I made another dish for him. He has not come home since then, ”said Tendulkar.
