Vegard Harm Embarks on World’s Toughest Triathlon but Will Not Appear Live on VGTV

by time news

On Saturday, Vegard Harm will participate in what is referred to as the world’s toughest triathlon; however, he will not be seen during VGTV’s live broadcast.

When the starting gun went off at 05:00 Saturday morning, it involved 3.8 kilometers of swimming, 180 kilometers of cycling, and 42.2 kilometers of running. The triathlon covers 5,000 vertical meters.

Vegard Harm has trained hard in the series “Vegard X Funkygine” with the goal of completing the race.

– Norseman is the climax of “Vegard X Funkygine”, so we don’t want to spoil how it goes before the episodes are completely finished. Therefore, he will not be seen in the live broadcast, says producer Julie Easter Christiansen.

With VG+ Sport, you can follow the broadcast from Norseman Xtreme – where among others, Jørgine Vasstrand’s husband Morten Sundli participates:

Easter Christiansen emphasizes that Harm started alongside the 250 others participating, and he receives no special treatment except that he is hidden from the start lists and live cameras.

A total of 5,000 applied to participate in this year’s Norseman edition.

– We published the first six episodes of this season before the summer break, five new episodes will be released on Thursday, while the actual race will come on September 13 since it takes some time to complete the episodes, she explains.

– I had a genuine fear at the start. It’s completely inhuman. But now, as it’s right before, I have a strangely calm feeling. I’m just really ready for this to be over, said Vegard Harm in an interview with VG just before the start.

– When we started this, I was terrified. I thought ‘I have to get out of this’ and ‘this is not going to work’. But as I trained more and time went on, my nerves settled a bit, he continued.
