Amílcar Montejo: Good morning! Thank you ‌for having me. On⁢ November 1st, we will have significant vehicle closures due to two major events: the Cycling Tour of Guatemala and the All Saints’ Day commemorations at the ‌General Cemetery.⁣ These will both⁢ affect ⁤traffic flow in various parts of the city.

Time.news Editor: That definitely sounds⁤ like a ‌bustling ⁢day! Could⁤ you tell us more ⁢about how the Cycling ‍Tour will specifically impact traffic?

Amílcar Montejo: Absolutely. The Cycling Tour,⁤ now in its 63rd edition, began on October 25 and will culminate‌ on November 3. On November 1, cyclists will⁢ race in a circuit within the⁤ city, going through key areas like the Peripheral Ring, Villa Linda, and ‍the⁣ University of San Carlos.‍ During this time, we will enforce⁢ traffic regulation from 8:00⁤ am to‌ 1:00 pm, focusing particularly on the space between these ⁢neighborhoods. We want to ensure both the safety of the athletes and the smooth ‌flow of local ⁢traffic.

Time.news Editor: That’s a‍ great initiative. What‍ measures are in place to manage the flow‍ of vehicles during these closures?

Amílcar Montejo: We’ll ⁤have more than 25 traffic agents stationed at ‍strategic locations throughout the city to monitor ⁣and direct traffic. Key areas like the Periférico Ring and Calzada Roosevelt will be⁤ closely supervised. Plus, we’ll use cranes and coordinate with various institutions to respond quickly to ‍any emergencies that may ‍arise.

Time.news Editor: Sounds reassuring! For commuters who ‍may⁢ need to travel on that day, what alternative routes would you recommend?

Amílcar Montejo: We suggest using the auxiliary lane connecting the El Naranjo bridge to Villa Linda. Additionally, the route from Condado Naranjo under the Periférico towards the city center will be viable, as will⁤ the⁤ auxiliary lane near the ⁣4 de Febrero neighborhood. ‍These routes should help avoid⁣ congestion significantly.

Time.news ‌Editor: Thank you for those tips! Now, regarding the All Saints’ Day activities‌ at the ⁤General Cemetery, what ⁤arrangements are there for visitors?

Amílcar Montejo: For All Saints’ Day, we ⁣will implement⁣ a vehicle closure in⁢ Zone 3, from Elena Avenue to⁢ El Cementerio Avenue, including the section between 17th and 25th streets. This ⁢is designed to facilitate safe access for the ⁢thousands of visitors honoring ‌their loved ones.

Time.news Editor: That’s⁢ really important, especially for families looking to pay ⁢their respects. ‌What alternative routes‍ should they consider?

Amílcar Montejo: Visitors can use several routes, including the Historic Center, Bolivar Avenue, Central America Avenue, and 6 Avenue in Zones 1 and 4.⁤ There are‌ also connections ‍from Zone 7 to Zone 3 via 30th Street, which should assist those trying to ‌reach the cemetery.

Time.news Editor: Great advice for our readers! any parting thoughts or reminders for the ‌public as we approach these⁣ significant ‌events?

Amílcar Montejo: ⁣ I’d‍ like to remind everyone to plan their trips in advance and pay attention to signage and⁤ agents on the ground. Time.news Editor: Thank you, Amílcar!⁢ Your insights are always helpful⁣ and we appreciate your⁤ time. Best of luck on November 1st!
