The 13 vehicles would be valued at 500 million pesos.
The Attorney General’s Office reported this Sunday the seizure of 13 vehicles, valued at more than $500 million, which are believed to be linked to the criminal gang “Los Pachelly.” Among the seized assets are dump trucks, pickup trucks, motorcycles and cars, all of them allegedly acquired by members of the criminal structure throughout their criminal activity since 2017.
According to the prosecution, the vehicles were not only purchased with money from illegal activities, but were also allegedly used to commit crimes, such as extortion payments to merchants and transporters in municipalities in the department of Antioquia, including Bello, San Félix and San Pedro de los Milagros. The operation is part of the asset forfeiture measures applied by the Prosecutor’s Office, which seeks to deprive criminal organizations of assets acquired illegally.

Precautionary measures
The prosecutor of the Specialized Directorate for the Extinction of the Right of Domain, in charge of the case, imposed precautionary measures of suspension of the power of disposal, embargo and seizure on the vehicles. These measures were executed in collaboration with the Sijin of the Antioquia Police Department, who participated in the proceedings that allowed the seizure to take place.
The preliminary value of the seized vehicles amounts to more than $500 million, a figure that includes a dump truck, several pickup trucks, motorcycles and cars. These vehicles, which had been acquired in a short period of time while the gang exercised its control over several areas of the department, will now be managed by the Sociedad de Activos Especiales (SAE), the entity in charge of managing the assets that are subject to domain forfeiture.
For the SAE
“Preliminary calculations indicate that the vehicles, represented by a dump truck, a pickup truck, motorcycles and cars, could be worth more than $500 million. The Sociedad de Activos Especiales (SAE) will take over the administration of the affected vehicles,” the Prosecutor’s Office said in its official statement.
The seizure of these assets represents a significant blow to the “Los Pachelly” gang, one of the most influential criminal structures in the department of Antioquia, with activities ranging from extortion to drug trafficking. This group has maintained territorial control in key municipalities, and the Prosecutor’s Office continues to investigate the scope of its operations and the origin of other assets that could be involved in illicit activities.
This legal action is part of the National Government’s effort to dismantle the finances of criminal organizations in Colombia, taking away the resources they use to continue their criminal activities. The Attorney General’s Office has reiterated its commitment to continue attacking the assets illegally acquired by the gangs, as a strategy to weaken their operational and financial capacity.
