Jeddah: Vehicles can be sold through the Saudi Interior Ministry’s digital platform ‘Abshir’. For this, a vehicle sales service was included in Abshir.
The sale of vehicles worth between 500 riyals and 10 lakh riyals can be completed through Abshir. The price of the vehicle has to be paid into the account of the intermediary in the new service.
In addition to the government fee of 150 riyals for transfer of vehicle ownership, a fee of 230 riyals including VAT is required to complete the sale transaction through Abshir. The change of ownership and the transaction fee are included in the price of the vehicle and must be paid by the purchaser.
All these fees are refundable if the sale transaction is canceled for any reason. If there is a disagreement between the two parties or they do not want to continue the sale transaction, Abshir will be able to cancel the transaction through the service at any time before completing the vehicle transfer option. Transaction payments will be refunded in full electronically.
This will allow them to sell better conditioned vehicles. The vehicle must be valid for registration and Fahsuddari inspection and insurance.
