## Venafro - Regional Court Orders Asrem to Activate Hospital Services
The ruling of the Molise Regional Administrative Court on July 3rd compels Asrem to finally activate the long-neglected services and benefits outlined in company act number 301. This pivotal decision reignites the community’s hope for a fully functioning hospital once more.
This landmark ruling addresses the severe lack of healthcare services in the area, which has plagued the region since 2018. While only the nursing unit remains operational at the Santissimo Rosario Hospital, the absence of other vital services effectively limits healthcare to short-term hospitalizations.
The neglect of these services stems from Asrem’s failure to implement act number 301, which envisioned the creation of ten beds each for extensive and maintenance rehabilitation, a healthcare facility for the elderly, and specialized care for dementia patients.
The Mayor, Alfredo Ricci, emphasizes the devastating impact of this inaction on the local healthcare system. The lack of essential services forced residents to grapple with emergencies and various healthcare needs. This prompted the Municipality to take legal action, culminating in the recent court ruling.
The ruling offers renewed hope for the community, which has long considered the hospital a “community hospital.” Mayor Ricci emphasizes the need to “fill the container” with meaningful services, citing the potential to reinstate services like rehabilitation, radiology, and diabetology.
With strengthened collaboration between Asrem and the health director, Di Santo, the realization of these promises appears imminent. The activation of the First Aid point stands as a testament to the imminent improvements in healthcare accessibility for the community.
