Verizon is reportedly planning to offer a bundle of Netflix and Max with ads to its customers at a lower price than their separate membership fees.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the bundle will include Netflix’s Standard with Ads subscription and the Max With Ads subscription, priced at around $10. This is nearly $7 cheaper than the cost of joining the individual streaming services, with Netflix Standard with Ads priced at $6.99 per month and Max With Ads priced at $9.99 per month.

The deal includes all three, with Netflix and Warner Bros. Discovery having guaranteed minimums. The ad-supported bundle will allow customers to access both Netflix and Max with ads at a more affordable rate.

Verizon is expected to officially notify its customers about the new Netflix/Max bundle soon, with the option to access it through the “myPlan” service. The “myPlan” service, rolled out by Verizon earlier this year, offers various perks for an extra $10 monthly fee each, including a Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ bundle.

The move by Verizon comes as streaming services continue to grow in popularity, with more and more consumers looking to access a variety of content at competitive prices. By offering a discounted bundle of popular streaming services, Verizon may be able to attract new customers and retain existing ones.

As of now, Netflix, Verizon, and Warner Bros. Discovery have not made any official comments on the reported bundle. However, with the increasing competition in the streaming market, it will be interesting to see how this move by Verizon impacts the industry and the choices available to consumers.
