All Vermeer or almost…

“This will be the most important Vermeer exhibition ever presented”, promises the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, which has managed to bring together 28 paintings by the master. This small miracle arouses all the more curiosity as the Dutch museum, relying on new scientific analyses, authenticates three paintings in passing, which are however much discussed by experts. This brings the total of the painter’s known works to 37, instead of the 34 or 35 generally accepted…

Isamu Noguchi, “sculptor of spaces”

However, the work of Isamu Noguchi is much broader, which mixes half-abstract, half-surrealist sculptures, dance costumes for Martha Graham, designer furniture such as his Coffee Table, ceramics, Zen gardens and playgrounds. After London, Cologne and Bern, the LaM in Villeneuve-d’Ascq unveils all the facets of this artist freed from borders, thanks to major loans from the Noguchi Foundation in New York.
