The community mourns the passing of Veronica Kinard, a beloved figure known for her kindness and gentle spirit.
- Veronica Kinard died peacefully at home in Crossmolina, Co. Mayo, on December 26th.
- She was predeceased by her husband, Tom Kinard.
- Her family included nine children, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a wide network of friends and neighbors.
- Reposing will be held at Hiney’s Funeral Home on Friday evening, December 26th, followed by a Funeral Mass on Saturday, December 27th.
Veronica will be fondly remembered by her daughters, Mary, Barbara, Veronica, and Áine, and her sons, Frank, Tommie, Michael, Kevin, and David. She is also survived by her sons-in-law, John, Liam, John, and William, and daughters-in-law, Bernie, Anne, Anna, Valerie, and Karen. Her legacy extends to her adored grandchildren – Jonathan, Laura, Paul, John, David, Dylan, Brianna, Richard, Robert, Nola, Ruairí, Tom, Cillian, Chloe, and Ava – and her ten cherished great-grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.
What arrangements have been made to honor Veronica Kinard’s life? A Funeral Mass will be held at the Church of Our Lady, Kilmurry, on Saturday, December 27th, at 12 noon, followed by burial in Kilmurry Cemetery. The family has requested that family flowers only be sent, and has asked for privacy at their home.
The family has requested that their privacy be respected during this difficult time, and the house will be private. A sense of profound loss hangs over Kinard, Crossmolina, as the community reflects on a life well-lived and a spirit deeply missed.

Reposing at Hiney’s Funeral Home, Crossmolina (F26 DH95) on Friday evening 26th December from 5 o’clock with removal at 7 o’clock to the Church of Our lady, Kilmurry.
Funeral Mass on Saturday 27th December at 12 noon followed by burial afterwards in Kilmurry Cemetery.
