by time news

Veronica Yoko Plebani improves on the result obtained at the Tokyo 2021 Paralympics (bronze medal), as she won the silver medal in the ParaTriathlon PTS2 at the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games (here is the complete day-by-day program). An incredible achievement, sought after, desired, and wanted.

At the microphones of RAI2, in an interview conducted by journalist Marco Fantasia, the athlete commented on the result: “An amazing race, I don’t know, I can’t believe it, I was fighting the whole time, it was incredible. […] In my opinion, I was really solid in all three sections, in the running portion I didn’t think I could hold on like that, but I did. […] It’s been 3 very difficult years, I didn’t think I would be here, and this result is incredible, but I did it, and I did it with many people close to me. I need to thank my friends because I’m here and I got this medal.”

Finally, when asked if there is true love between Plebani and Paratriathlon, the champion responded: “I don’t know, I believe this was actually my last Triathlon race and I’m really happy to have done it this way. I’m truly very satisfied and all the doors are open, I can’t wait to explore. What will I do? It’s a surprise, I’ll tell you tomorrow.”
