Vesela Lecheva, member of the IOC Commission and two-time Olympic medalist, and Tokyo 2020 champion Ivet Goranova will hold motivational meetings in Razlog. The two will give a lecture to young athletes who participate in Goranova’s karate talent camp. The meeting will be held on July 9, at 3:30 p.m. at the “Tera” hotel in Razlog, Vesela Lecheva’s office announced.
The initiative is part of Lecheva’s meetings in the country with young talents. In it, she partners with Ivet Goranova, who, apart from being an Olympic champion, is one of the most positive faces of Bulgarian sports. In her capacity as a member of the “Public Affairs and Corporate Communications” Commission of the IOC, Lecheva has set herself a goal – to involve more and more young people in sports.
“Even if they don’t become champions, sport teaches discipline, perseverance, fair play, makes young people healthy and mentally resilient – all qualities that are necessary in life and give a good start for any profession,” says Lecheva.
The meeting in Razlog will be held on the eve of the Olympic Games in Paris, and Lecheva and Goranova will also answer questions related to the largest sports forum.
