Alexander Vezenkov will make a mistake if he leaves the NBA and returns to Europe.
This is what the Minister of Youth and Sports in the caretaker government, Georgi Glushkov, said about the information that the two-time winner for the sportsman of Bulgaria is about to leave the league of aliens to return to “Olympiakos”.
Glushkov, who is the first player from Eastern Europe to reach the strongest basketball championship, advised Vezenkov to think carefully about the situation.

I’m sure that if he was given such a chance, he would do things that would make us very happy,” said Glushkov in reference to the second Bulgarian who played in the NBA.
“Instead, what happened was that he got so many minutes that he couldn’t show what he could do and was dissatisfied with his very presence in the NBA. I don’t know if his decision (to return to Olympiakos) is final, but I personally, from the distance of time, I would recommend him something else – the NBA is another planet and young people in Bulgaria watch it a lot and get carried away. I think that after years, if he really returns to Greece, he will regret it because he didn’t use it until the end of his opportunities. I, like him, had a contract for two years and I had to fulfill it, but then there was no one to advise me,” admitted Glushkov, who played for the Phoenix Suns in the 1985/86 season.
For the entire last season, Alexander Vezenkov played in 42 games for the Kings, but in only four of them did he stay on the field for 20 or more minutes
