Tuesday this week revealed Aftenposten that an interview comedian Harald Here had done with Dagbladet was probably AI-generated. As a result, Dagbladet chose to depublish the case on Tuesday evening.
On Friday morning, Eia confirmed the suspicions in the podcast «Tore and Harald’s podcast». He had used ChatGPT to answer the questions for Dagbladet’s column “Love to read”.

And VG mentioned the admission in an online case on Friday morning, they described the comedian as “ageing” in the preamble. This description was later removed from the case.
– This description should not have been used, writes VG in the correction log at the bottom of the case.
Breaking manager at VG, Geir Arne Kippernessays the following to Campaign:
– What was the idea behind the description?
– The idea is that it is something we should not have written. If we are to mention how old people are, we should write the exact age. In this context, there was an unnecessary description that was taken out of the morning shift and entered into the correction log to make the readers aware of it.
– Have you referred to people as aging before?
– I don’t have an overview of that, but I think that in a news story like this it is not a description that needs to be used.
– Will it be a topic at some meetings to draw attention to this?
– I have already had a chat with those involved. There is agreement in VG that this was not a necessary description.
Kippernes says that they will contact Eia after this.
– Do you want to apologize to him?
– We will contact him. I have nothing more to say now.
– Would you call it a boom?
– This was probably an attempt to be funny, but that is not always suitable in a news story, says Kippernes.
