Via N3 of Riacho do Fundo II gets new poles equipped with LED

by time news

BRL 256,000 was invested to install 26 large poles and 54 high-power light fixtures on the highway

The busiest avenue in Riacho Fundo II, the N3 road has new public lighting. Since the beginning of this month, the highway has received the installation of 26 new large poles and 54 high voltage light fixtures to ensure more safety in the area.

R$ 256,904.88 were invested in the work, which relied on funds from the Public Lighting Contribution (CIP), an amount originating from Companhia Energética de Brasília (CEB).

The new poles contain two luminaires with LED lamps, which can represent savings of up to 85% in consumption. With greater cost-effectiveness, LED lamps deliver high brightness, illuminating more and with less energy consumption. The new lighting gives the road a new look and more safety for the population.

Security

“With the avenue illuminated, we will be able to provide more comfort to pedestrians, cyclists and drivers, bringing security to homes, businesses and also at bus stops”, celebrates the regional administrator of Riacho Fundo II, Ana Maria da Silva.

The president of CEB, Edison Garcia, points out that more powerful lighting will help to reduce accidents: “It is an important road for the population of Riacho Fundo II, and has some crosswalks, which further emphasizes the importance of a more powerful lighting”.

The installation is yet another improvement on the highway, which had a stretch of 1.2 km – from the roundabout on Avenida N3 to Estrada Parque Núcleo Bandeirante (DF-075) – duplicated last year by the Government of the Federal District. This year, the GDF also announced the paving of another 1 km in the other direction of the track.
