News from Angola – The Vice-President of the Republic, Esperança da Costa, landed this Tuesday afternoon, on the Island of São Vivente, in Mindelo, Republic of Cape Verde, where she will participate in the 1st International Congress on Science, Innovation and Development in Lusofonia, taking place from the 18th to the 20th of this month.
At Cesária Évora Airport, Esperança Costa was received by the Ambassador of Angola in Cape Verde, the mayor of São Vicente-Mindelo, the Angolan minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and the Magnificent Dean of the Lusófona University, host of the event.
The Congress will address “The Paths to quality scientific research in Lusophone countries, promoting dialogue between universities, political power and companies”, as well as “Science, technology and innovation in Lusophone countries: challenges and opportunities in the 21st century ”.
