Vice President Rafalovsky, who was responsible for high technologies, left Sberbank

Executive Vice President of Sberbank, head of the Technologies block David Rafalovsky left the credit institution, RBC reports citing two sources in the financial market. Under the leadership of Mr. Rafalovsky, in 2019, the most powerful supercomputer Christofari in Russia at that time was created.

RBC’s interlocutors did not specify exactly when Mr. Rafalovsky made such a decision. On the Sberbank website, the page with Rafalovsky’s biography is not available. Sberbank declined to comment.

Before joining Sber, Mr. Rafalovsky lived in the USA for 20 years, where he worked for Citigroup. There he worked his way up from application architect to managing director in the IT division.
