In this sense, the Vice President of the Republic, Félix Ulloa together with the Vice President of Guatemala, Karin Herrera; the Presidential Designate of Honduras, Doris Gutiérrez, as well as the Executive Secretary of the Trifinio Plan, Liseth Hernández, chaired the First Ordinary Meeting of the Trinational Commission of the Trifinio Plan (CTPT), 2024.
During the development of the event, Vice President Félix Ulloa highlighted: “The Trifinio Plan has gone through various stages. – 5,500 people participated directly in training and technical assistance processes.
– 136 young people benefited from scholarships awarded by the German government through KfW.
– 1,785 people are involved in agricultural projects.
– 6,367 hectares of protected forests, through 45 agreements for compensation for biodiversity conservation.
– More than 23 thousand forest trees have been delivered to producers in the region.
A key moment of the meeting was the presentation of the priorities for the end of 2024, among which the institutional strategies stood out, focused on technical-administrative strengthening and the application of technology and innovation, with the aim of optimizing operation. of the Trinational Commission of the Trifinio Plan.
