An enigmatic title poster, a thrilling trailer filled with suspense, and a quirky character in the presentation of the film, just like the name. Shine Tom, Balu Varghese, Lal, Kanikusumi and directed by debutant Achu Vijayan, ‘Vichitra’ can be described as such. It is the presentation in different ways that brings the film closer to the audience. The theme of the film is a mother named Jasmine and her 5 children and the problems faced by their family. Shine Tom Chacko plays the eldest son, Jackson. Balu Varghese played the role of a seasoned New John, who did not show much responsibility while Shine played the role of making crores by doing business. The stories of the younger brothers show more responsibility and maturity than the two elder ones. In the first half, these brothers who have the harmony and friction of a normal family are shown their love for their mother and their happiness. Although this film is based on a family, it has spread the fear of being a ‘horror’ film, and the idea of a thriller is strange to keep the audience in the theater. Undoubtedly an actor who grew up with his own talent and efforts, the character of Shine’s Jackson has done hundred percent justice. Actor Balu Varghese, who presented many good stories to the audience as a child actor, has also entertained the audience with his stories. Actress Kani Kusumi, who has played different, eccentric characters, excels in eccentricity. Actress Ketaki Narayan, who has not acted in Malayalam before, has given a good performance with Kani Kushumi in the film.
