With the “Love Cloud” campaign, the lingerie brand wants to show more diversity. The desired signal: Gone are the days of only thin, white models. Instead, the lingerie is now presented by women of different ethnicities and body sizes – including the Brazilian transgender model Valentina Sampaio (25).

According to fashion magazine Vogue, the collection is the first to be created under the direction of new Victoria’s Secret creative director Raúl Martinez. He wants to rethink the way the brand addresses women.

Jirau had made her US catwalk debut in February 2020 at New York Fashion Week, reports the British “Mail” – her career then picked up speed during the pandemic.

At the time she said: “I am proud to be one of the few models with Down Syndrome who managed to take part in this important fashion event. Modeling in the United States was the beginning of realizing the dream I’ve had since I was a child – to model on the world’s major catwalks.”

She hopes this move will inspire other people with Down syndrome to achieve their goals.

In the past, “Victoria’s Secret” made many young models world stars – such as Heidi Klum, Adriana Lima or Gisele Bundchen, who seemed to hover over the catwalk with wings attached to their backs.
