ANKARA. Regarding the “Reserve area” law discussed by Victory Party leader Ümit Özdağ, “The urban transformation law is actually a plan of dispossession. Unfortunately it is. Other intentions are hidden in the subtexts of the 21 articles of this law, which was prepared under the name of accelerating urban transformation in regions at risk of disaster. „ said.

Özdağ continued his words as follows in his post to the public on X (Twitter): “The urban transformation law is actually a plan of dispossession. Unfortunately it is. Other intentions are hidden in the subtexts of the 21 articles of this law, which was prepared under the name of accelerating urban transformation in regions at risk of disaster. In urban transformation, instead of establishing a new living space without victimizing the citizens and providing shelter for the citizens during the transformation, the government allowed the intervention of the police in Article 21, gave the right to enter the house with a locksmith, considered collecting the expenses from the owners, gave the right to choose the reserve area for an arbitrary profit, but gave citizens the right to a fingernail tip. He didn’t think!

Victory Party Ümit Özdağ’s statement in X is as follows:

“They took our state from us and distributed it to sects and communities. They sold our banks, ports and factories under the name of privatization.

They filled our country with 13 million refugees and brought partners to our country. And now, with the RESERVE AREA law for urban transformation, they have set their sights on the houses we live in.

The urban transformation law is actually a plan of dispossession. Unfortunately it is. Other intentions are hidden in the subtexts of the 21 articles of this law, which was prepared under the name of accelerating urban transformation in regions at risk of disaster. In urban transformation, it is better to establish a new living space without victimizing the citizens and to provide shelter for the citizens during the transformation.e government allowed police intervention in 21 articles, He gave the right to enter the house with a locksmith, he thought that the expenses should be collected from the owners, he gave the right to choose the reserve area with the aim of making an arbitrary profit, but he did not think about his citizens as much as a fingernail!

It doesn’t end there. The definition of “reserve building area” in the Law on the Transformation of Areas at Disaster Risk has also been changed. The law paved the way for parcels located in residential areas to be designated as reserve building areas. This means that people who were able to own a house will no longer have the chance to live in the city.. A serious dispossession move will be made. All valuable areas and those with high potential value within the city can now be declared as reserve areas. People will be sent to other places and re-debted. The properties of those who do not pay their debts will also be transferred to the treasury. With the “profitable” transformation disguised as urban transformation, luxury buildings will be built in the area where you were evicted. Maybe this time, it will wink directly at the citizens of the Gulf countries, without even giving it to the supporters! The process of complete dispossession will begin. This dispersed system means that the government does not care about the citizens and only cares about its own interests. By filling its own inadequacies from the citizens’ pockets, the state is actually turning into a robbery scheme under the name of urban transformation.

Public institutions and universities licensed by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change determine risky structures together with companies whose 40 percent of their capital belongs to the public. However, the bill for the detected risk is made only to the property owners. In other words, the state acts as if its duty is only to issue licenses, leaving property owners at their own risk. Citizens, on the other hand, face costs of 50-100 thousand TL for the first step they take under the name of risk control. The costs arising from the state’s own control process are borne by the citizens. It’s as if the state is saying, “If you want to make your own house safe, pay out of your own pocket.” The government imposes its own rotten policies, disregarding the interests of the people and abandoning the citizens to their own fate. What happens at the end of all this? The brutality of negligence we experienced 10 months ago becomes ‘fate’…”
