Indian batsman Chupman Gill has been ruled out of the second Test against New Zealand with a hamstring injury.

The New Zealand team has arrived in India for a two-Test series against India.

The first Test of the series ended in a draw and the second Test between the two teams is being played in Mumbai.

India captain Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to bat first.

Mayank Agarwal (150) and Chupman Gill (44) were the first to bat for India.

Despite the loss of senior players like Pujara (0) and Kohli (0), India lost all their wickets for 325 in the first innings with Shreyas Iyer (18), Virdiman Saha (27) and Akshar Patel scoring 52 runs.

Ajaz Patel of New Zealand took all 10 wickets for India.

New Zealand were bowled out for just 62 in the first innings, with the exception of Tom Latham (10) and Jamison (17), who were all out for a single.

Ravichandran Aswin top-scored for India with 4 wickets, Mohammad Siraj with 3 and Akshar Patel with 2.

Pujara and Mayank Agarwal then started the second innings with a 263-run lead. Pujara made his debut as he was hit hard by Chupman Gill during the fielding. Mayank Agarwal and Pujara, who faced New Zealand’s bowling assault, put on 69 runs for the second wicket to put India ahead by 332 runs at the end of the second day’s play.
