Video clips have spread on social media, showing displaced Syrians being subjected to brutal attacks and beatings by Lebanese.

One of the clips showed Lebanese brutally attacking a displaced Syrian in the coastal town of Tabarja.

According to the video, the worker was returning home from his work as a day laborer with a small bag of gifts for his children on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, when a group of people surprised him and beat him, while another stood far away filming what was happening without moving anyone.

Another video spread showing a number of young men riding motorcycles in the Bourj Hammoud area, “demanding through loudspeakers that Syrians evacuate all shops and homes before Friday.”

One of the young men said over the loudspeaker: “To all Syrians in Bourj Hammoud, evacuate all shops and homes before Friday, and I excuse those who warn.”

Several video clips were also circulated showing displaced Syrians being beaten by a group of young men, said to be affiliated with the “Forces” party.

The Lebanese Army Command announced that the Director of Intelligence had arrested most of those involved in the kidnapping and killing of Lebanese Forces Party official Pascal Suleiman, who was kidnapped in the town of Al-Kharba – Jbeil, where unknown persons took him to an unknown destination.

Syrian workers and displaced people in the areas under the influence of the Lebanese Forces Party, headed by Dr. Samir Geagea, were subjected to a campaign of violence that seemed systematic. Dozens were physically assaulted, and public threats were made to kill those who remained in the areas under the influence of the forces.
