Security cameras on the road captured the events that left two people injured when the tree fell.
The clip shows several vehicles passing through the aforementioned avenue in the middle of a storm that occurred at the location.
Later, the image brightens because a lightning bolt struck a tree on the median strip of the road.
The lightning caused the tree to fall and it ended up hitting the roof of a taxi that was passing by at that very moment on the high-speed lane.
The driver of the unit lost control of the vehicle.
Paramedics and emergency personnel arrived at the scene to deal with the situation, as both the driver and a passenger who was inside the taxi were injured.
The taxi driver only suffered minor injuries, while the woman suffered a serious injury to the left hand caused by a tree branch that fell due to the impact of lightning.
