Cincinnati beat the New York Red Bulls 3-0 this Sunday night, in the first leg of the MLS round of 16. And the win was entirely Argentine, because there was a double from Álvaro Barreal and a goal from almost half of Luciano Acosta’s field…
Barreal opened the scoring at 22′ after being one-on-one with the goalkeeper. And, 12 minutes later, the goal arrived that took away all the lights of the night. A bad start by the New York RB goalkeeper caused the ball to end up at the feet of Acosta who, almost from the middle of the field and with the goal free, he didn’t even hesitate: he loaded the power bar and nailed it from there.
The victory was closed by Barreal again in the 88th minute. Another terrible start from New York led to a pass to the Argentine, which he controlled and grabbed the air to nail a left foot shot that sealed the match 3-0.
