A montage around two premiums

In this contract, no performance bonus but two other bonuses. The first is a signing bonus of 180 million euros gross paid in three instalments. Kylian Mbappé is guaranteed to receive the three payments of 60 million, therefore the full amount, whether or not he remains until the end of his contract. The second is a loyalty bonus paid at the end of each transfer window if he is still there. For the first year, the amount is 70 million euros gross. The second year, scheduled for September 2023 if he is still there, will be around 80 million euros. And if the world champion exercises the option of a third year, and he is therefore still Parisian in September 2024 after the Games, PSG would pay him 90 million euros.

If Kylian Mbappé goes to the end of his 3-year contract, he would peak at more than 630 million euros gross (around 282 million net). Reduced to the year (210 million euros), this represents a quarter of the club’s budget. This is the largest contract ever signed by an athlete, all disciplines combined.
