The platform adapted one of the most classic novels by the late Colombian writer, and it was confirmed that this year it can be seen streaming.
After months of waiting, Netflix finally released the official trailer for One Hundred Years of Solitude, a series that will be based on the iconic book by the famous writer Gabriel Garcia Marquez.
In this first preview you can see important moments that occur throughout the novel. However, it is emphasized at the beginning of the work, since it is shown Aureliano Babilonia deciphering the diary Melquiades.
“Many years later, In front of the firing squad, Colonel Aureliano Buendía had to remember that remote afternoon when his father took him to discover ice.” the protagonist is heard saying, quoting García Márquez.

The production that will arrive this year on Netflix and is titled One Hundred Years of Solitude, It is based on one of the most emblematic works of the Colombian writer Gabriel Garcia Marquez. An outstanding playwright who in 1982 was crowned the great winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature.
The novel, which was published in 1967, is considered a masterpiece of Latin American literatureand had more than 50 million copies sold and translations into more than 40 languages.
Due to its undisputed success, the streaming platform decided to create a production that will feature 16 episodes where the iconic writing will go to the small screen.
“By marrying against their parents’ will, cousins José Arcadio Buendía and Úrsula Iguarán leave their town behind and embark on a long journey in search of a new home. Accompanied by friends and adventurers, their journey culminates with the founding of a utopian town on the banks of a river of prehistoric stones that they call Macondo,” Netflix says.
Along with this, they state that “Several generations of the Buendía lineage will mark the future of this mythical towntormented by madness, impossible loves, a bloody and absurd war, and the fear of a terrible curse that condemns them, without any hope, to a hundred years of loneliness.
Finally, the production assures that this series represented one of the most ambitious audiovisual projects in the history of Latin America. Likewise, they confess that this film had the support of the best artists and technicians in Colombia, and even the family of Gabriel García Márquez.
