Neeraj Chopra broke the national record in javelin throw at the Stockholm Diamond League but had to settle for silver. After the match, there were few fans outside the stadium to greet Neeraj. Despite the rush, Neeraj returned after greeting everyone.

Neeraj finished behind world champion Anderson Peters in the Diamond League. This is the first time the Diamond League has finished in the top three. Neeraj threw 89.30 meters in Pao Nurmi Games. But it took the Olympic champion to reset his record to 89.94 in the Diamond League.
