Beijing: China is ruled by one party. The National Congress of the ruling Communist Party of China is held every 5 years. In this, the general secretary of the party will be selected and he himself will take office as the president. The current President of China, Xi Jinping, is serving his second term as President.

Against this backdrop, the National Conference of the Communist Party of China began yesterday in the capital Beijing. President Xi Jinping is going to be elected as the President for the 3rd term. Speaking on the first day of the conference, he issued a public warning to Taiwan. His statement that “Taiwan will be annexed by China either peacefully or through military action” has heightened war tensions between the two countries.

Xi Jinping did not directly comment on India at the conference. But in 2020, a video related to the clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers in Ladakh’s Kalwan Valley was screened at the conference.

In that video, Colonel Chi Babo, who is hailed as the hero of Kalwan by the Chinese Army, spoke. He said, “We are protecting the border under difficult conditions. “We will not give up even an inch of the country’s land,” he said. In addition, the video shows Indian and Chinese soldiers clashing in the Kalwan Valley and Chinese soldiers standing with flags.

International experts complain

According to international security experts, “During the regime of President Xi Jinping, the Indian border issue and the Taiwan issue have become a hot topic. Currently, President Xi Jinping is trying to incite hostility against India among the Chinese people by screening the video of the Galwan Valley conflict at the National Congress of the Communist Party of China. If he takes office as president for the 3rd time, various problems may arise in the international arena,” they said.
