Video: Security Arrangements Committee announces receipt of a number of public headquarters

The Supreme Committee for Security Arrangements announced the handover of a number of headquarters to its affiliated agencies after some of the agencies and individuals left them.

The Ministry of Interior of the Government of National Unity reported that today, Monday, under the direct supervision of the Minister of Interior, Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Security Arrangements, Major General Imad Al-Tarabulsi, the headquarters of the “Aman Bank building, Al-Riqata, and the Anti-Corruption and Islamic Call Authority” were handed over to their affiliated entities.

Earlier, the Minister of Interior in charge of the Government of National Unity and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Security Measures, Major General Imad Al-Tarabulsi, issued evacuation orders for a number of military and security formations from buildings, headquarters, and government and civilian facilities in various parts of Tripoli, as part of the “Capital of Peace” strategic plan to organize the police security deployment in the capital.

The head of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, issued a decision to form a supreme committee for security arrangements, headed by the Minister of Interior, Imad Al-Tarabulsi, and consisting of 16 members.

According to the text of the resolution, the committee’s mission is to withdraw military formations and return them to their official headquarters, in addition to returning private headquarters seized by some formations to their original owners.

The committee’s tasks also include subjecting the ports (land, air and sea) as well as prisons, to full state control.

In his decision, Dabaiba asked the committee to submit a weekly report explaining the work accomplished within this mission.
