A video released on social media shows the young man who threw himself into the Bahamas sea after being challenged by colleagues. The region is infested by sharks.

What happened:

Cameron Robbins, 18, was on his high school graduation trip when he jumped off the boat where he was, near Athol Island, on the night of the 24th of May. He lived in the state of Louisiana, in the United States.

The recording shows Cameron at sea as crew members try to help him out of the area. throwing a lifebuoy, which was positioned far from the young man.

Someone says “that motherfucking boy jumped” and profanity is heard on the recording. After filming, Cameron disappeared.

The young man’s body was not found and the searches for Cameron were suspended, according to the US Coast Guard, citing Bahamian military officials, on Friday (26). Local police said they were waiting for “further developments” in the case.

The US guard had been assisting in the search since the disappearance and offered condolences to the boy’s family, despite the suspension of the search. The young man’s family created a campaign to raise financial resources.

Cameron attended the University Laboratory School for the 13 years of his training. He was a pitcher for the baseball team, according to school principal Kevin George.
