Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, inspected the progress of work on the 82-kilometre Salah al-Din-Tarhuna road project..
Al-Dabaiba stressed, “The importance of this vital project in enhancing connectivity between regions and facilitating the movement of citizens, who have suffered from the difficulty of movement for years.”
Al-Dabaiba pointed out that “this project is one of the government’s priorities,” stressing “its commitment to accelerating the pace of work to complete it as soon as possible, stressing that improving infrastructure represents a commitment to meeting the needs of citizens and providing safe and smooth roads to enhance economic and social development in the region.”
“The project is divided into several stages, and 25 kilometers of the road have been completed, while the implementation of another 16 kilometers is continuing, and preparations are being made to implement the remaining 41 kilometers.”
During his inspection tour, Al-Dabaiba met with a number of citizens passing along the road, to obtain their opinions and observations about the progress of the project and the extent of its impact on their daily lives.
“Al-Dabaiba” was accompanied, on his tour, by the Minister of Transportation, Muhammad Al-Shahoubi, the Minister of State for Communication and Political Affairs, Walid Al-Lafi, a member of the Board of Directors of the Libyan Investment Corporation, Mustafa Al-Manea, and the Director of the Transportation Projects Implementation Agency, Sami Al-Absh.
It is noteworthy that this road was established in the mid-eighties, and has not witnessed any maintenance work since its construction. Last October 2023, Al-Dabaiba visited the maintenance and development project of “Tarhuna-Salahuddin Road” in Tripoli.
