Chancellor Karl Nehammer (ÖVP) condemned the attack on Ukraine launched by Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday morning. “In the last few hours, the Russian Federation has again committed a blatant violation of international law, which we deeply reject and unequivocally condemn,” it said in a statement. “Austria’s unreserved solidarity is with Ukraine. In these difficult hours, our thoughts are with the people of Ukraine.”
