Their slogan, “We are the CGT! “, ignited the users of the social network TikTok who erected this union song into an anthem.
“We often talk about violence in demonstrations, there it was an opportunity to highlight the good atmosphere that reigns there”, explains Nicolas. “We are four, five, working on the lyrics of the songs, adds Hervé. We bar, we change, we discuss the texts, it’s like that at the CGT ”. Their first filmed performance in mid-March has been viewed millions of times, and fans have been flocking to the “best tank of the demo” ever since.
“It’s really motivating, it galvanizes the troops,” says Vincenzo, bus driver, also a trade unionist. “They make us forget our worries, while remaining in the essential because they talk about the reforms of the moment”, adds Francis, who came especially to attend their set. Nicolas assures him, the group is thinking of “booking a small studio” to record this song, which is already famous in the street.
