“They were shooting at everything that moved.” Moshiko experienced horror when Hamas attacked the festival he had helped organize. The “Tribe of Nova” was attacked early Saturday morning, while revelers were still dancing, men from the Islamist movement fired into the crowd.
“When I realized something was happening, I went back to my vehicle. And there, I saw terrorists in cars opening fire,” begins the traumatized young man. Under the bullets, the festival’s social media host managed to escape with the wounded.
But on the road to a kibbutz that they believe to be safe, the occupants of the vehicle come across scenes of horror. “Everywhere on the road there were hundreds of bodies. There were so many dead that we had to drive to the side of the road. I took care of a woman who had a bullet in her back,” assures Moshiko.
In the kibbutzim which had not yet been struck by Hamas, the “residents were ready to defend themselves”, in the others “the terrorists were burning and looting the houses. When they found residents, they took them hostage,” says the survivor. “Friends were killed. Two others are hostages, I saw them on a Hamas video.
