Three Chilean citizens were injured after the bus in which they were heading to Machu Picchu, in Peru, in an accident that left a total of twenty people injured.
Three Chilean women remain hospitalized in a confidential condition in a clinic in Peruafter the bus they were traveling in went off the cliff and fell about 20 meters on the way to Machu Picchu.
According to information from the neighboring country, the accident, which was due to the poor weather conditions in that place, left at least 32 injured.
According to the first versions provided at the scene of the accident, it occurred after the driver of the vehicle went off the track due to the dense fog that existed at that time.
The bus left the road and fell down a slope of almost 20 metersafter which both residents of the sector and passengers and bus staff tried to prevent it from continuing to travel.
Residents of the sector also warned of the stone collapses caused by heavy rain that have affected the area in recent days.
