-80% on laundry detergent, -70% on shampoos… In supermarkets, beauty or hygiene products fill the promotional spaces. And the due date never exceeds March 1, 2024. Coincidence? Not really: because on this date the Descrozaille law will come into force, limiting promotions on this type of product to 34%. A measure which may be surprising, in a context of inflation, but which above all aims to better remunerate manufacturers in these sectors.

It is actually not the distributors who pay for the promotions, but the suppliers themselves. These reductions are therefore more advantageous for supermarkets, which do not view this law favorably. They therefore risk, logically, selling off these products for another month and a half.
