The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, announces that a resolution was adopted in Strasbourg on Thursday, which recognizes the deportation of Ukrainian children by Russia as evidence of genocide. “We will continue to work for the return of all deported Ukrainian children and for punishing Russia,” Zelenski emphasized, according to News.ro.

“Today, there was an important political result in Strasbourg, at the session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. A resolution was adopted recognizing Russia’s deportation of Ukrainian children as evidence of genocide. This is the first recognition of this fact at such a high level by an international organization that brings together the states of our continent. Practically speaking, this decision will significantly help our global efforts to bring Russia and its officials, including the head of the terrorist state, to justice for genocide and genocidal policies against Ukraine”, stated Volodymyr Zelensky, in the message sent Thursday evening.
“The deportation of Ukrainian children is one of the completely premeditated elements of Russia’s attempts to erase the identity of our people, to destroy the very essence of Ukrainians. This is a deliberate crime of genocide committed by Russian officials. In this way, it should be qualified both politically and legally”, continued the president of Ukraine.
“We know for sure the data of about 20,000 children taken to different regions of the diabolical state. But there could be many more”
He mentioned that the First Lady of Ukraine spoke precisely about the problem of children and families la APCE.
“Our parliamentarians and diplomats did a good job. And at all levels – formally and informally, with heads of state, at the parliamentary, governmental, law enforcement, legal community, and in international and inter-parliamentary organizations – we will continue to work for the return of all deported Ukrainian children and to punish Russia . We know for sure the data of almost 20,000 children who were taken and scattered in different regions of the diabolical state. But it is obvious that this is only part of the much larger criminal actions. There could be many more such children,” said Zelenski.
He added that Europe and the world have already seen various deportations and attempts to exterminate some peoples.
“Through Russia’s example – holding this state and its officials guilty of genocide accountable – we must show the other potential sources of the same evil that there will never be impunity. There will be sentences for genocide. As for all other crimes committed by Russia against Ukraine and our people”, he emphasized.

Zelensky said that in Nikolaiev, the rubble was removed after a rocket attack last night, in which more than 20 people were injured and one person died.
“The rockets damaged dozens of ordinary houses and two educational institutions. “(missiles – no) Kalibr” against a school and a college, against residential buildings”, said the Ukrainian president.
In the evening, another rocket attack was launched in Kosteantînivka, Donetsk region, where a school, a hospital and residential buildings were damaged.

Unfortunately, the political pressure of the world on the terrorist state, the pressure of sanctions has not yet reached its maximum strength. But enough… But our fighters have done absolutely everything possible to defend people and humanity since the first day of the battle. And even more than possible,” Zelensky said, mentioning several brigades of the Ukrainian army.
