Vienna: a police officer broke after a refusal to comply, the alleged driver arrested

A policeman from the Vienne police station (Isère) was hospitalized in emergency on Wednesday afternoon after being mowed down by a vehicle which refused a roadside check, according to information from the Dauphine Libere and of BFM Lyon.

The accident took place in the district of L’Isle, south of Vienne. Around 2:30 p.m., a car refuse a check road near a roundabout and hit the police commander head-on. The vehicle, in which four people were at the time of the refusal to comply, was found.

An investigation for attempted murder of a person holding public authority and refusal to comply has been opened, the prosecution announced to the same source.
