Hong Kong is home to many landmarks associated with its founding Communist Party of Vietnam and associated with the revolutionary activities of President Ho Chi Minh.

It was here that Nguyen Ai Quoc chaired the founding conference of the Communist Party of Vietnam on February 3, 1930, which was the starting point for the national liberation, national reunification and socialism. current association.

In June 1931, President Ho Chi Minh (with the alias Tong Van So), was arrested by the Hong Kong government and imprisoned in Victoria prison for nearly two years, until January 1933.

During the visit to this place, Vietnamese students in Hong Kong were able to review vivid history lessons and look back on Uncle Ho’s struggle to better understand the sacrifices, difficulties and hardships. that he experienced during his imprisonment in a colonial prison.

Nguyen Dac Hieu, a Master’s student at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), said he felt very emotional when he was able to visit the Victoria prison, which has been associated with a part of the journey to find the prison.
