Fepsi chairman RK Selvamani has requested actor Ajith Kumar to shoot his film in Tamil Nadu.
RK Selvamani, President of the South Indian Film Workers’ Federation, met reporters at Vadapalani, Chennai. Speaking at the time, he said, “It has been reported that the Tamil Film Producers’ Association has issued a statement that anyone can be hired to shoot. We have not received any letter directly regarding this. Talks are to be held in Chennai tomorrow regarding the disagreement between the Tamil Film Producers Association and Fepsi.
We have written that the agreement with the Tamil Film Producers ‘Association will apply to the new Film Producers’ Association and the Guild. He alone did not put any contract on them. Therefore, we will hold talks with the Tamil Film Producers Association tomorrow at 10.30 am. I hope this talk ends smoothly.
As the Actors’ Union General Body Meeting is scheduled to be held on May 8, no film will be shot in Chennai on that day alone. Film workers in Tamil Nadu are being hit hard as actor Ajith Kumar is shooting his film in another state like Hyderabad. Therefore, our demand is that actor Ajith Kumar should shoot in Tamil Nadu. This is our request to actor Ajith Kumar, director Vinod and producer Bonnie Kapoor.
