Vijay Hazare Trophy: Fourth century in five matches, Ruturaj Gaekwad with Kohli’s record

Rajkot: Maharashtra captain Ruturaj Gaikwad retires after dream form at Vijay Hazare Trophy Maharashtra won the toss and elected to bat. Ruthuraj is the leading run-getter with 603 runs from five matches in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Manan Vohra, who has scored 379 runs in five matches, and Venkatesh Iyer, who has scored 349 runs in five matches, are third.

Vijay Hazare’s run chase is expected to lead Ruturaj to the Indian team for the ODI series against South Africa. Earlier, Ruthuraj made his debut for India in the T20I. Ruth Raj also bagged the orange cap for the run chaser in the last IPL season.
