Kerala continues to win ODI cricket for Vijay Hazare Trophy They beat Chhattisgarh by five wickets. Score: Chhattisgarh 189 (46.2), Kerala 5-193 (34.3).
Kerala tops Elite D group with three wins in four matches Along with Kerala, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh have 12 points each. Kerala came first in run rate. The last match is against Uttarakhand tomorrow.
Chhattisgarh, who batted first, were bowled out by spinner Sijomon Joseph. Sijomon took five wickets for 33 runs in 10 overs. Basil Thampi and Nidheesh have two wickets each. Vinoop Manoharan took one wicket. Chhattisgarh captain Harpreet Singh (98) was left without support.
Openers Rohan Kunnummal (36) and Mohammad Azharuddin (45) gave Kerala a good start. Vinoop Manoharan (54) and Vishnu Vinod (26) led the way. Sanju Samson (0) and Sachin Baby (4) did not shine. Sijomon scored 27 runs.
