Hari, who once came to the forefront of Tamil Nadu politics wearing kilos of jewelery on his neck and arms, has been arrested by the Bangalore police in a fraud case and is lodged in the Parbhani Agrahara Jail ..!
Hari, who contested as a candidate for the Panangattupadai Party in the Alangulam constituency in the last assembly elections and polled 36,000 votes, has been in jail for more than eight months after being arrested by the Bangalore police in a fraud case pending the outcome of the election.
The case has been transferred to the Bangalore Economic Crimes Division police and is under investigation as he has been given VIP status in jail for being a regular income tax payer.
Actress Vijayalakshmi has created a new problem for Hari, who has been trying to get out of this fraud case. On July 26, 2020, the Egmore Metropolitan Court judge went directly to actress Vijayalakshmi, who had tried to commit suicide by taking too many sleeping pills and attempted suicide.
In his confession, Vijayalakshmi had said that cinema director Seeman, Sada and Hari had threatened to kill him and tortured him. Thiruvanmiyur police have registered a case against Seeman, Sada and Hari under sections 509 and 506 (2) of the Prevention of Violence against Women Act.
It is said that the case was dropped by the police without further investigation and no action was taken on the complaint as Vijayalakshmi survived.
Thiruvanmiyur police have sent a letter from Tamil Nadu to the Bangalore City Civil Court on the 12th. According to Vijayalakshmi’s confession, Hari, who has been added by the police as the third accused in the case, should be arrested and allowed to appear in the Saidapet court.
Following Hari, police are reportedly planning to take action against Seeman and Sada involved in the case.
Hari, who returned to the city with all his jewelery in tow, was imprisoned in VIP status but was unable to get out due to subsequent arrests by the police.
