Chennai: The Tamil Nadu Muslim League has demanded that the Kuwaiti government ban the film ‘Beast’ starring actor Vijay and also ban it in Tamil Nadu.

The film ‘Beast’, starring Vijay, is produced by Sun Pictures. The film is set to release on the 13th. The film was banned by the Kuwaiti government for portraying Muslims as terrorists. Tamil Nadu Muslim League leader Mustapha has written a letter to Tamil Nadu Home Secretary Prabhakaran asking him to ban Beast in Tamil Nadu as well.

In the letter, he said: If their caste identity and the names of caste leaders are featured in the film, social organizations will oppose it. Just like Muslims are only involved in the culture of bombing and gunfire and acting against the peace of the country, it is a very painful thing to have scenes in movies constantly.

No one can forget the work done by Muslim organizations during the last, 2015 floods and the Corona disaster. Currently, Muslims are observing Ramadan fasting. In this context, the release of the film ‘Beast’, which portrays Muslims as terrorists, will create an extraordinary atmosphere among Muslims. Therefore, the film should be banned. Thus Mustafa said.

The theater owners have decided to charge extra for the film. Also, arrangements are being made to screen six scenes illegally. Similarly, the ‘parking’ fee is to be raised several times. This should be prevented by law. Action should be taken against those who collect extra fees. Thus it is said.
