Preparations for actor Vijay’s entry into politics are ongoing.
Last June, the event that honored the students who scored excellent marks in the 10th and Plus 2 general examination by giving prizes was considered as a foundation for politics. Later in July actor Vijay consulted with the officials appointed for all 234 constituencies. He also visited the affected people due to the heavy rains in southern districts and consoled them and distributed relief items.
Recently, Vijay had a serious discussion with his People’s Movement district administrators at the Vijay People’s Movement headquarters in Panayur, Chennai for more than 1 hour. In this meeting, along with administrators from Tamilnadu districts, administrators from states like Puducherry, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh also participated.

While Vijay plans to register his party soon to face electoral politics, new information has come out that the party has been named ‘Tamilaka Munnetra Kazhagam’.
