From a famous astrologer from Salem, Udhayanidhi horoscope was procured regarding auspicious day for inauguration. In the family, it was Durga who made the list of who to invite to the function. It is also reported that on the first day of the swearing-in, special pujas and yagas were performed at the house by the priests who had come from Thanjavur.
