Parties like ADMK, Naam Tamilar and BJP have been criticizing the appointment of Chief Minister Stalin’s son and MLA from Chepakkam Constituency Udhayanidhi as ‘succession politics’ in the DMK cabinet. Apart from this, the opposition parties are also criticizing DMK’s promotion of a “women-high state” after a one-and-a-half-year rule.
In that line, Seeman, coordinator of Naam Tamilar Party, questioned Chief Minister Stalin saying, “I will give up the post of chief minister to Kanimozhi for two and a half years because of the importance of women.”
Subsequently, a poll was conducted on Vigatan’s website to find out how people felt about Seeman’s comments. There were four optional choices, “Seeman’s opinion is fair”, “Stalin’s personal preference”, “MLAs should decide” and “Meaningless”.
