Viktória Viczián, the winner of the 2017 Miss World Hungary public prize, has navigated a recent breakup with her fiancé, Krisztián Somhegyi, after their engagement last year.
The model shared that she’s found strength in her support system, with a close friend even moving in with her during this period of transition. “Being alone would have a bad effect on me. Literally, one of my girlfriends moved in with me,” she revealed to her followers.
Viczián Turns to Therapy and Self-Reflection

Processing a breakup is rarely linear, and Viczián is actively prioritizing her mental well-being. She’s engaging in therapy, exploring self-knowledge through reading, and consciously seeking opportunities for personal growth.
“We often operate instinctively, based on old schemes, and psychologists and self-development books also help a lot in recognizing them,” Viczián explained.
Physical Activity as a Coping Mechanism
Exercise has become a crucial outlet for Viczián, who believes suppressing emotions can have detrimental long-term effects on both physical and mental health. She’s choosing to experience her pain, learn from it, and maintain a forward-looking perspective.
Viczián acknowledged occasionally reading online comments about her, many of which she finds disheartening. She expressed confusion over the spread of untruths by individuals who don’t personally know her.
While some anticipate a defensive response from her on platforms like Reddit, Viczián is intentionally choosing not to engage. She recognizes a tendency for others to categorize people, but believes such judgments reveal more about the commentators than about herself.
A Difficult Season, Filled with Hope
The holidays brought additional challenges, as Viczián fell ill and spent her birthday unwell. Despite these setbacks, she remains grateful for the support surrounding her and is embracing opportunities for learning, development, and training that she had previously postponed.
The announcement of the split came in early December, with Viczián and Somhegyi jointly requesting respect for their decision.
