Two senior care facilities in Laval have been recognized at the 2024 Signature Awards hosted by Bonjour Résidences.
Villa Ste-Rose received accolades for its innovative technology lab,which has pioneered advanced solutions to enhance residents’ quality of life. Among the innovations tested is an AI-based fall detection system that alerts staff, as well as a conversational 3D avatar designed to engage residents with neurocognitive disorders, providing feedback to the clinical team.
“In a few years, we won’t be able to operate our healthcare facilities as we do today due to staff shortages and the demographic wave we are facing,” stated co-owner Alexandre Bélanger in an interview with Courrier Laval. “A meaningful number of seniors will need our care, and technology will play an essential role in this transition.”
Simultaneously occurring, the CHSLD de Laval was awarded the title of Best CHSLD, recognized for its personalized care and exemplary interaction with families. “This recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to excellence in care and continuous enhancement of the client experience,” said Jean Nadon, co-owner of Groupe Santé Nadon, in a statement.
